For this laboratory and given the continuous evolution of this discipline, De Lorenzo has developed another system, consisting of about 60 boards but always increasing, called TIME (Trainer for Interactive Multipurpose Electronics).
This system includes almost all the topics of the panel system and many others. The boards are completely open meaning that the final user has under his hands everything from printed circuit, devices, block diagrams to the terminals.
A fault simulator, for troubleshooting, is provided in almost all of them and they can be interfaced to personal computer through a CAI software. The topics covered are: Electricity & Electromagnetism, DC and AC circuits, Electronic devices, Amplification, Filters, Digital electronics, Regulations & Controls, Telecommunications, Fiber Optics, etc. It is complete with power supplies with or without interface to PC and virtual instrumentation. It is recommended for high schools and first years of university.
