Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency is the goal to reduce the amount of energy required to provide products and services. Improvements in energy efficiency are generally achieved by adopting a more efficient technology or production process or by application of commonly methods to reduce energy losses. De Lorenzo has designed different trainers for this purpose to give the user the possibility to perform practical experiments on real systems. The first one consists of the study of the energy efficiency in the control of electric motor supported by a hydraulic circuit, an inverter, a PLC, pressure and flow sensors/solenoid valves and a network analyzer with interface module. The other two are developed to simulate, using real components, air compressor, air conditioner and fan. The final user can study the energy efficiency of the latter trainers as a function of different operating conditions and different components and are supplied with SCADA software for supervision and data acquisition. These trainers are recommended for high schools and first years of university.
