- Transistor based ignition controlled through contacts
- Transistor based ignition controlled through Hall transducer, with fixed closing angle
- Transistor based ignition controlled through inductive sensor, with fixed closing angle
- Electronic ignition with RPM sensor, knock adjustment, dwell adjustment, and direct command of twin-spark coils
The simulator must cover the following topics :
- Instruments (meter) operation,
- Voltage/resistance measurement,
- Starter operation,
- Ignition system,
- Operation and control of electronic circuits,
- Fuel system/operation,
- Electronic ignition,
- Direct ignition activation system,
- Different spark types analysis,

- Constant current conservation for various engine speeds,
- Ignition system operation at various conditions of speed, load and engine temperature,
- Ignition time and dwell measurements.
- Operation of ignition system with fuel electronic injection.
The trainer must be specially designed in vertical frames, bench-top, so as students can watch the theoretical and practical study of the automotive systems. The simulator must consist of a panel operated by a PC with a coloured diagram that should clearly show the structure of the system and should allow the location of components on it. The display of the information available on the PC screen must allow the continuous control of the educational system. The operational conditions must be entered by the students. The insertion of faults must be carried out through the PC.
The trainer must be supplied with the software and the documentation that shall guide the student to the study and the performance of the simulation exercises.
The scheme must utilize the symbols specified by the DIN regulations
The simulator panels must be made of fire varnished metal covered by a coloured polyester glue 150μ 3M7962. The front panel must have the RAL colour 1007 and schematic diagram. External dimensions: 1041 x 690 x 150 (470 with the base) mm.
All components and leads must be made to protect the safety of the students according to the laws in force.
It must be provided with manual in English language
